Unauthorized BIO on Ron Hubberman

Ron Hubberman seems to be Mayor Daley's lap dog. Why? What has he done to stand out from the others? Nothing. Instead, this guy has won the Willie Wonka Mayor Daley Golden Ticket to gain access into the City of Chicago $$$$ Factory.

What sucks is how hard working people have a zero chance of getting a job with this city. I should know as this city is outsourcing some of the department jobs. Many are just temporary during the "busy" times since many of the city workers are LAZY. I worked for the Department of Revenue when it was tiem for businesses to renew licenses, send in their taxes, etc.

It was a great oportunity foir me and I learned as much as I could and worked hard to prove that I could be a perfet fit. However, i was told that the city was not hiring.

Numerous city employees told me to slow down and that I was working too hard. Many wouldn't answer the phone, would huddle with other employees to talk about personal things, and complain about the job. There was one lady that was completely clueless. I had to help her open an easy Powerpoint file when she was "training" us for the ONE DAY before we went to work in this department. This same lady would go with the manager of the department to city hall meetings as she was a "token."

Now, Dept. Shaved rolled out an unauthorized biographraphy on Ron Hubberman.

Let's start with his official Bio by the City of Chicago -

Ron Huberman biography

RON HUBERMAN
Executive Director, Office of Emergency Management and Communications

Ron Huberman was named Executive Director for the Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) on April 7th, 2004. The City of Chicago, Office of Emergency Management and Communications is charged with protecting life and property by managing the public safety communications system and coordinating major emergency response.

Huberman has worked for the Chicago Police Department since 1995 in various capacities. He has been essential in positioning Chicago as a leader in state-of-the-art policing strategies critical to fighting crime throughout the City.

As the Assistant Deputy Superintendent for the Office of Information and Strategic Services, Huberman led the Research and Development, Information Services, and Records Services Divisions and the Office of Information and Strategic Services. In this capacity he formed the partnership with the Illinois State Police to expand statewide the Department's award-winning Citizen and Law Enforcement Analysis and Reporting (CLEAR) system, of which he is a principal architect. This expansion will result in a new statewide database called I-CLEAR, that will enable all law enforcement in the state of Illinois to share critical crime information in real time. Currently, CLEAR shares information with 242 local, state and federal law enforcement and criminal justice agencies. Huberman also launched Operation Disruption, an innovative strategy aimed at curbing violence and illegal narcotics activity. The program was recently expanded to include a gun-shot detection system aimed at reducing police response times for firearms-related crimes.

Prior to being named Assistant Deputy Superintendent, Huberman served as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Superintendent for Administration where he managed bureau operations, designed and implemented strategic plans for the Personnel, Records, Finance, Information Services and Research and Development Divisions. He also worked as part of a senior management team charged with developing crime fighting strategies and improving the effectiveness of the Department's community policing. In addition to serving in command positions, Huberman has also served as a beat and tactical gang team officer.

Huberman's involvement in national policing programs include designing a Middle-East policing program, and researching homicide prevention protocols for the Police Executive Research Forum, a Washington-D.C. based organization of progressive police executives. He also served as a trainer for the Community Policing Consortium administered by the United States Department of Justice.

He has received numerous awards: 22 Honorable Mentions; a Department Commendation; a Special Commendation; and Officer of the Month. In 2002, he received the national Gary B. Hayes Award for Innovation in Policing and most recently accepted CIO Magazine's Enterprise Value Award for CLEAR.

Huberman, 32, holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago, where he was both an Albert Schweitzer and a Soros Fellow. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin. He is a Chicago native, and has been a resident of the Uptown community for the past three years.

Now let's look at what Huberman has really done. He was called the brain child behind the city's 911 OEMC. A 1/2 a billion dollar expense.

Well have one of the worse 911 centers a major urban area can have. Many police 911 centers have far more available tools and resources than Chicago.

#1: When a 911 call comes in, our dispatchers have only 6 months of past history for the phone number calling the call in and the address the service is needed at. Most 911 centers have a complete history for the phone making the 911 call and the address of service. In addition to the history many 911 centers have medical history of residents, gun registration for the address, known police fighters, arrest and search warrant history. In many of these 911 centers, this information doesn't even have to be looked up but automatically pops up with each call.

In Chicago, the dispatcher can only look at the last 6 months of service for an address. All those other goodies that I just mentioned other 911 centers have - WE DON'T. And Ron Huberman is a computer brain child with this bullshit computer program we have? Sorry... at best it works and that is all. We are so far behind the times and being so places so many police officers and firefighters at risk that it is almost criminal.

So Huberman who came on the police dept. in July 1995 is made an exempt member of the CPD for this rotten behind the times installation of a so called computer program at 911.

Now we have to look at the man himself. Rumors have him as a bi-sexual freak. And I say rumors of bi-sexual because there has never been any proof that Huberman has been anything but 100% gay. The Chicago police dept. has been called to his residence more than a few times for domestic problems with whatever male lover he was with the police arrived. Now many may say who cares if he is gay - Well I say I care not that he is gay but has a history of police coming to his residence for domestic distrubances. Many great police officers I have known have either been fired, stripped or had a brick placed on them for something that happened at home with their spouse. Here we have a cop who has to call 911 for domestic problems with his male lovers and nothing ever becomes of these calls. Case reports have been made and I am sure some of these case reports are "missing" now. Had Huberman been in this many domestics with female lovers, would have he received the same "pass" from the department? I doubt it. All these matters were hushed up because of the gay nature of these incidents.

Let's move on....

Next up... Huberman becomes Chief of Staff for Mayor Daley. Daley's right hand man. Just like Gov. Blagojevich's Chief of Staff who is currently under indictment, any elected person's chief of staff knows everything about everything. And seeing Huberman does have some computer expertise under his belt, I am sure Huberman found many of things on the Chief of Staff's computer which was used by all the previous Chief of Staffs.... Some say that is where Huberman ended locking the deal on any position he wanted... By the info he ascertained/learned in the C.O.S. position.

Then in May 2007 the Mayor announces that Huberman is going to be the next president of the CTA. With no background in transportation, no experience in the mass transit and no previous position with any transportation department, Daley selects him to be the president of one of the country's largest transit department. Amazing to say the least. Most urban areas do nationwide searches for a person with years of experience in this field but not Chicago. And what has he done since becoming the president of the CTA - Basically NOTHING. Huberman instead of making a bunch of cuts of pork barrel CTA projects actually expanded spending, complained the CTA was broke, raised fares and cut services. Wow! This man really knows the transit system! Now don't forget that after being named the president of the CTA, the CTA spent a ton of money changing its stationary, employee ID's, signs and other items with the name of the new CTA president - Ron Huberman. Well kiss all that money goodbye now.

Now comes Jan 2009 - And the Mayor names Huberman the new head of the Chicago Public Schools. No previous experience even as a teacher, a principal or even a school janitor...but let's make him the head of the CPS! A educational system ranked 48th out of 50 in America. And have you noticed when the Mayor first was elected to Mayor how many top positions were filled by blacks? Now we have the top cop being white - the former head of the CTA who is now going to be the new head of the CPS being white and you really aren't hearing any barking from the black community. Pretty weird.

I am not sure what Ron Huberman has on Daley. Some hinted on this blog that Huberman and the Mayor's son Patrick had a thing going, others have said that even the Mayor himself and Huberman had a thing going. Personally I think it is something completely unrelated to anything sexual. Why the Mayor is moving Huberman from top spot to top spot without even a chance for Huberman to get anything accomplished at each spot is beyond me. But one thing is for sure, placing this inexperienced guy in these top spots time after time...it is costing us a fortune in mismanagment. And Mayor Daley has to know it.
