IPhone App: Listen to Chicago Police

    This is quite creepy. But on the other side of the coin, perhaps civilians who tune in will hear just how short police officers are on our streets...

However this seems more like a very high safety issue to our peace officers as well as an excellent tool for criminals as well as terrorists.

This seems like a matter that Supt Weis and the FOP needs to look into ASAP.

    I checked into this on ITunes. The application costs $4.95 and it scans the entire city. You can't lock into a zone; it scans and catches whatever comes up on any PD-assigned frequency. Not very useful for criminals, and not very interesting for a resident, either. Users don't rate it too highly.
