First of all, thank you to each and everyone one of our readers. We truly appreciate all of your support and hope you find this site to be entertaining, informative, original and creative. We always accept input of any type.

Second, we will be updating our site later tonight and apologize for the delay in postings.

We've been going through an extremely stressful time as we ended our engagement. It's very difficult to see a loved one that has some type of mental disorder/behavioral problem of such, and you try to help them only they refuse to get the assistance they desperately need. We had to get away from that and it's been very rough.

We also have been severely exhausted trying to cope with the crappy public transit system here in Chicago, like so many others. When you spend 4 1/2 hours per day in addition to a full-time work day (not to mention the additional time to run this blog), it effects your health.

Anyhow, this is the reason for the delays and hopefully we can get back on track. Blog to be updated later tonight and we thank you for all of your support and patience.

This year we will be also putting together a script for a horror movie, and start filming in a few months (locally).

Actor Corey Haim Dead at 38

Actor and former teen idol Corey Haim has died at the age of 38, the Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed to KTLA.

Haim died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday of an apparent accidental overdose, according to the LAPD's North Hollywood Division.

What Really Killed This Chicago Man?

On Monday, February 22nd snow was falling at a steady rate in Chicago. It had been like this since the previous night and showed no signs of stopping.

It was ugly outside and even I had a very difficult time walking the short distance to the corner bus stop. There was ice and snow all over the streets and sidewalks.

I had barely gotten to the Midway Orange Line when a text alert message came though that LSD was shut down due to a severe accident.

LSD to us, and Lake Shore Drive to outsiders is dangerous even when dry and a clear day. Even worse, concrete planters plopped in place to hold flowers and other landscaping highlight the severe zigzag of the Drive. However city officials found out the planters had a problem: salt was getting inside the planters and ruining the plants.

On this morning, one of our Chicagoans that worked for our city was patrolling in a city issued vehicle such as this one:





Combine that and loud whispers that the city ordered the stopping of salt of LSD that very early morning.

Sgt Haymaker, 56, a former Minister and 21 year veteran of the Chicago Police Dept, was responding to a burglary call at around 5 a.m. when he lost control of his squad car, hit a pole and a tree near the very icy Irving Park exit on Lake Shore Drive.

He was pinned inside the car and died of his injuries a few hours after the accident. I come from a neighborhood FULL OF CITY WORKERS. I grew up and still reside here. It's pretty shitty that not one person can secretly produce something without revealing themselves to let this man who gave us his life, rest in peace. I would sure hate to be anyone who knows what really happened and carry that with you the rest of your life. Karma has a way of coming back to you, and so imagine if this happened to one who salts our streets or their family. What would they do then?

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say a two-vehicle crash Tuesday at Mile Marker 21 on Cudjoe Key was caused by a 37-year-old woman driver who was shaving her bikini area while her ex-husband took the wheel from the passenger seat.

"She said she was meeting her boyfriend in Key West and wanted to be ready for the visit," Trooper Gary Dunick said. "If I wasn't there, I wouldn't have believed it. About 10 years ago I stopped a guy in the exact same spot ... who had three or four syringes sticking out of his arm. It was just surreal and I thought, 'Nothing will ever beat this.' Well, this takes it."

Apart from all the delicious food and the fun rides, people in Buffalo were most excited about the giant ice maze built in the center of the city. The world record creation was made up of 22 hundred blocks of ice that weighed 600 thousand pounds of ice.

Hispanic church leaders, seizing on the recent departure of a police commander, Robert Lopez, has upset religious leaders and resurrected criticisms that the department has an abysmal record of promoting Hispanics to the department's highest levels.

Members of the clergy announced plans to protest at City Hall next week and call for Weis' resignation because of the failure to diversify the department.

We hear that Commander Lopez was supposedly delivered the news at the recent funeral of Sgt Haymaker. Classy!

Cops say a man identified as Eddie Fenton emerged from the rowdy crowd with only one thing on his mind: murder.

No one was able to tell police why Fenton did it, but according to reports, he pulled a gun and shot Willie once in the head.

"I couldn't help him," a devastated Willie Jr. says of the 14 hours he sat at his son's bedside, before his passing. But he vowed to turn his inability to help his son that night into a positive.

Eddie Fenton (pictured here) has almost two dozen arrests on his record, along with a handful of convictions. He's considered extremely dangerous.

We inspected the thread on the above photo. No police officer was there let alone knew we did this inspection. There is barely ANY THREAD on this tire.

Tires are like shoes. If you wear cheap, crappy ones then you have severe problems.

It's faulty equipment that endangers our peace officers let alone increases risks for higher injury and disablement.

Here's a tire on a different patrol car. This tire needs to be replaced.

We're beginning a series posting photo evidence concerning unsafe Chicago Police Cars. This is what our officers have to contend with on a daily basis in addition to the danger they experience on the job.

CPD Sgt. Haymaker was killed because of an order to stop salting on Lake Shore Drive as well as possibly a very unsafe police vehicle. LSD is highly dangerous even when dry during the summer. On the day he was killed, I was on the train when I received the text alert that LSD was closed down due to his accident. I remember that day because it was heavily snowing, snow and ice all over the streets and sidewalks hence making commuting very difficult to do.

However according to the Official Chicago Police Blog the Superintendent had this response to one of his officers:

Therefore we are posting the truth. Quite frankly, these photos made me sick and it's all we're posting for the day. I guess the first reponse I had after viewing them was "my God." These vehicles are rolling coffins, people.

By the way...

my cousin was killed in an auto accident in the line of duty. One of the reasons why we also run a police memorial forum since 1999.

Terry Hoskins says he has struggled with the RiverHills Bank over his home in Moscow for years and had problems with the Internal Revenue Service. He says the IRS placed liens on his carpet store and commercial property and the bank claimed his house as collateral.

This morning I was on the Orange Line as I started another day in my life, when his ended...

A text alert stating that the LSD was closed due to an accident. However it wasn't until later that another text delivered the news that it was a police officer in that fatal accident.

This man was from my neighborhood. Not exactly an easy place to grow up yet one that builds character and strength. Many of my neighbors in my community work for the city.

It's funny as I am not a cop yet at times, get grief and snide comments because I run a police memorial and had a police family member killed in the line of duty. The most recent remark sent my way that most cops join because they were bullied when they were younger and how my police memorial sucks.

Well, this Officer slammed into this tree rushing to help some business owners trying to make a legal living as they were experiencing a rash of burglaries. That doesn't sound much like a bully to me as he was trying to nab the thief to make our streets safer.

I can't imagine this young officer's final thoughts as he slammed into what little is left of his beat car. Was he thinking of his wife? His children?

Naw.

Knowing our Chicago Police Officers, he was thinking how was he going to come help us now....

Chicago Police Officer Killed Responding to Call

Thanks to this asshole, we now have a Chicago Police officer that died responding to this call. Oh, I am so furious:

The burglarly occurred at the Consolidated Communications store at 3176 North Clark, and one witness told police he’d seen a man shatter a window in the store, the source said. A large amount of electronics equipment was stolen from the store, the source said. Detectives are trying to locate possible surveillance tape of the burglary, the source said

The Officer was involved in the incident which occurred in the median along Lake Shore Drive shortly before 5:15 a.m. He was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 7:33 a.m

Sad. Just so very sad.

This video presents 49 minutes of the show, combining the familiar look of "Peanuts" animated television specials with Gesner's charming skits and songs, including the title tune, Snoopy's ode to eating "Suppertime," the Beethoven adaptation "Schroeder," the baseball yarn "T-E-A-M," and the sweet-as-a-warm-puppy anthem "Happiness."

It should be noted that Gesner's clever score, while inspired by the actual strips, is aimed at a slightly older viewing audience than are most "Peanuts" videos, and that these young voices occasionally strain to keep up with its demands. Still, it's solid entertainment, and for anyone who performed the show in school and wishes there were a stage performance recorded on video, this is the next best thing

Pancake Day Feb 23rd: Free Pancakes @ IHOP

IHOP is hosting the fifth annual National Pancake Day at all restaurant locations nationwide on Feb. 23 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Customers will receive a free short stack, which includes three pancakes. Although the pancakes are free, donations are encouraged and given to local charities or Children's Miracle Network.

This event is happening at all IHOP locations, including the IHOP in Presidential Courtyard on UNIV OF TENN's campus.

National Pancake Day usually occurs on Shrove Tuesday, also known as Fat Tuesday, but is a week later this year.

If you're like me, you rely on the buses and trains to get around. It's simply to costly to afford a vehicle in this city. Many of us leave early to anticipate disruptions, etc However with the new cutting of routes but more importantly, the games the CTA is playing with us, our grueling trip has become a descent into hell.

As you know, many buses and trains are simply not showing up such as the 63W and 55A for no reasons whatsoever. There are no excuses. We captured video of the blue line we were on just stopping to b.s. and we just sat there.

Many of us are having to constantly run to catch these buses and trains. Yesterday I had to get treatment for my body as I was in pain.

Hopefully the CTA will be prepared to legally defend themselves as I'm ready to sue. It will be interesting when a law firm pulls GPS and camera recordings, won't it? We didn't even record the entire length the time we were sitting there but grabbed the end of it

Surprised that it was permissible to construct a pair of dwellings so close to the world famous thermal bath of Vals, the client seized the opportunity to develop the site, without disturbing the bath’s expansive views. The introduction of a central patio into the steep incline creates a large facade with considerable potential for window openings. The viewing angle from the building is slightly inclined, giving an even more dramatic view of the strikingly beautiful mountains on the opposite side of the narrow valley.

1,000 Pounds Of Pot Discovered After Traffic Stop

Investigators said a sheriff's deputy stopped a Toyota Tundra pickup truck traveling on Interstate 20 westbound near the DeKalb County line for a traffic violation. The driver was placed under arrest after he was unable to provide a valid driver's license, according to investigators.
